What kinds of people make you most anxious?

^ I had to teach a class of teenagers for the first time this year. I was so scared I nearly didn't do it. I'm used to them now and find them quite enjoyable.

Older people do have all their own issues to deal with. I have a theory that a person's maturity relates to whether they still have parents or not. Some people, regardless of their age, don't seem to grow up until they've lost their parents.

Glad to hear it!

Interesting! Don't agree with it though.. Maybe it's true in some cases, my Dad seems to be more and more childish sometimes, and he's lost both parents, so...?

Hey, I'm new. This seems like a good first post.
Anxious

1. People my own age
2. Old friends
3. Old teachers
4. Relatives
5. Calling businesses and certain people use to make me anxious
6. Small group of most types of people
7. Homeless people
8. People I perceive could hurt me
9. Kids. Because they call be fat. I know they're kids, but it's uncomfortable in public.

People I feel comfortable with

1. My girlfriend (the only person that truly knows me)
2. A friend who I've grown comfortable with, but these relationships are pretty fragile.
3. My immediate family to some extent
4. Doctors for some reason. I think because they most likely understand me and not judge me.
5. Older people. I think because I perceive them as wiser and more mature, so not as judgmental.

all of them. especially ghetto hoodrats.

Who are ghetto hoodrats? :D

(We don't have'em here I think.. It's the village and green hills.. The emo/hip hop kids do sometimes seem a bit scary...)

Otherwise, other people have said it, forgot who to copy paste though ;)

Very interesting thread, learning a lot.

Ghetto hoodrats are a walk in the park for me, if anything they're anxious around me ;) But when I see a group of young, nice-nerdy looking people talking to each other it scares the **** out of me, especially when both male and females are present.

People who are pushy. The type of person that thinks invading your boundaries and making you feel uncomfortable is a kind of feather in their cap.

I could fill the Grand Canyon. :D

Wealthy people.
They live by a different set of rules then everyone else, (well most of them). Thats scary.::(:

The girl I'm in love with.

Deep down, I know her better than I've ever known anyone, and I want to trust her with all my heart. And yet, I freeze up and stammer and stutter and go blank and make funny or weird faces, and generally just can't communicate well. That happens a lot when she's around... even when there's no pressure and no judgement, I still get horribly scared... and that stinks.

Wouldn't say scary. To me they are rather demoralizing. With their downward stare upon those they deem less to them.

Will agree with the different set of rules. Money can get you into and out of just about anything.

The scary part to me is the fact that they can do things to people and get away with it, more then other people.
They do these things to people because they know their "money" will exempt them from any consequences.

Hi, it's my first post...been lurking a while. Who makes me nervous?

1. attractive people of the opposite sex (always)
2. People I perceive as being better looking/more confident/more successful than I am
3. Authority figures
4. Well-dressed and well-spoken people

That's exactly how I feel.

Hmmmm...not really that anxious, but the people who can really piss me off are those obnoxious people, disrespectful and loud people, overbearing and dominant--bossy and downright mean and nasty! They really get on my nerves!
