Exercise Log

Wow Ocean thats an incredible time!!!

I went to a boxing class. It was mediocre. I went jogging after, slow jog 60mins covering about 8.5km. I'm trying to work on my endurance at the moment. Ill improve on my times as I go.

That's a good long run Jewel, steady injury free jogging will build endurance and speed.

Nice mile run, Ocean Mist.

Good news! The other day I did like 40 squats and some other leg exercises! Bad news is it hurt my legs so much I didn't do any more since. It's funny how I can walk a mile to the store, but can't do squats...

Wow Ocean thats an incredible time!!!

Thanks Jewel and Kiwong.

Yesterday, 1 mile run. Time: 6:05 (All out)

First half: 3:02
2nd half: 3:03

Improvement: 31 seconds

It was the first half that was key. I honestly didn't even realize how fast was going until I came up to the 1st half turning point and looked at my watch. I knew I was running hard and fast, but I didn't realize it was that fast. Next goal is to break 6 minutes.
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Today, ran a cool down mile. Time: 7:48 (50% speed).

Just taking it easy and getting in the leg and wind work. Tomorrow will my attempt at breaking 6 minutes.

If I can break 5 minutes in the next 3 months or so, I may run in the mile run race we have in town. Last year 3 guys ran between 4:27 and 4:40 haha. Those guys are really fast.

I did it. I was excited.

1 mile, time: 5:55 (all out)

1st half: 3:00
2nd half: 2:55

Improvement: -10 secs

I'm not sure what's on tap for tomorrow. I probably will run a cool down mile again and donate plasma on sunday.

Ran about 8/10 of a mile, time 5:00. Was running 100% speed.

I wasn't feeling too great today because I drank last night and donated plasma yesterday. I was in too much pain to finish, but I got some great work in. My lungs were on fire and I was in a lot of pain which is good. The pain wasn't leg pain, just out of breath pain. It means I pushed myself to the limit.

If I had finished I would have gotten about 6:20 on the mile time is my estimate. Ran the 1st half in 3:04.

wow! This is so admirable Kiwong. I want to be like you! Teach me teach me.

Its not really safe to run at night where I currently am so Ive been using the treadmill.
Yesterday I ran my first 5km without taking a break and I ran the first 15 mins at an incline of 2 and finished the 5km at 34 mins.

Today I did the same again (without the incline) then I took a break and did another 3 km.

Tommorrow Ill take a day off. Ill run again Friday. :)

Hi Jewel, you are doing great to be able to run 5km plus without a break. I think the trick is consistancy, the more you run over days, weeks, months and years the fitter and faster you will get. Build up slowly giving your body time to adapt, remembering that the cardiovascular systems often adapts more quickly than the muscular skeletal system Injury free is the way to go.

I've been back running for 4 years now.

Runners World USA and Cool Running Australia are sites with good info about running. They even have running programs.

Ouch! Longs runs do hurt, like someone is pulling my guts out from the inside.

Been trying to do more running and get fit again the last week or so. Been doing about 2 miles a day on the treadmill. Hate running though, so dull.

i am back working out again. averaging about 35 minutes a day. Coming from a 10 month absence where I used to be able to do 3 hour workouts, i get winded fast now. I think i should probably try doing some long cardio workouts to get my endurance / stamina back to supplement my lifting.

I gained about 6 pounds in 10 months. Now im trying to lose 10 pounds first and get lean.

But i miss running too. Though people sometimes pick and make fun of me and thats one thing that stopped me from running. Would love to do some running sometime in the near future too if i gather the guts

what I do for health is only eat fruit and only drink water, it cleans you out completely, you have so much energy, you feel so happy and excited all the time, and you can go from 5am till 12pm without a hint of being tired.

Its cool u can do that Mentally,

Something about me is when i work out, my body needs reallllyy alot of protein. Not the past few week but for the past few years. And I always needed about 33-40% protein compared to the 10% some people claim they can survive on.

Lately ive felt i dont need that much protein. It may have been that my body forgot how to generate its own protein since my diet was so high on it. but i dont know
