Do you think you're ugly?

Most of my anxiety is because of how much I don't really care for how I look. I am so consumed what everyone thinks about me. My mom is always telling how prettier I'd be if I'd wear my hair this way or if I'd dress like that. If I gain weight...she lets me know. When I was in 8th grade I used to hate looking in the mirror so I'd put on a facial mask & leave it for hours. I've gotten better about trying to accept how, I mean you change what you don't like. So, I feel like I am always doing something new to my hair & I always feel better when I get my eye brows done lol. But, I probably will never think I am pretty.

Yea, for a while I felt like in order to make people happy with my looks, I had to do what they wanted. I went through a hard time. You're a sweet and gorgeous woman.

I keep missing when you post your picture! But, everyone was saying how beautiful you were & I don't doubt it for a second. I was reading about how horrible some people treated you-I'd like to go back in time and kick them myself. I hate bullies. Never change for anyone! Youre lovely!

Kind off...and it's especially bad when girls my age only fangasm over the hot movie actors and you feel you're just not good enough.

For the most part, yes. (although I do have very nice eyes). Some women find me attractive after they get to know me. My personality, intelligence and sense of humor seems to play a huge role. I'm an acquired taste, like paint chips! LOL!

It depends.

There have been times where I've found myself to be too hideous for society (I compare myself to my friends who happen to be all goddesses, and I'm just... ugh.)

But then I *really* look at myself and I'm not bad... not gorgeous or anything, but OK. I've had my share of compliments.. people telling me that I'm pretty, beautiful, cute and all the synonyms in the world. Yet, I'd also have the reverse... I remember a particular moment, I was in my final year of highschool and two friends (right in my face and infront of my other classes and homeroom teacher) one of them goes to me: you're really ugly and the other friend agrees saying: you're probably my ugliest friend - that just... that just stung me and really lowered my self esteem (not saying I had much of a self esteem to begin with), but to hear that from your own friends... A much more recent case was when my ex boyfriend said he needed to drink before he slept with me (whether he be joking or not, it still cut through me) and I had another ex before him, who left me with no explanation... to this day, I think he left me because of my looks... bleugh, they were both bastards anyway.

Now, I'm with a guy who has seen me and loves me the way I am. That ex who said he needed to drink to sleep with me... well, he's become the stalker ex, still in love with me and wanting me back! ha!

That can't be true! I love your comment about not looking as happy. That looks like one unhappy alien. I think for humor alone, the ladies would give you some major bonus points.
*LOL. My hair is much longer.... Best post of the year!

I don't think I'm ugly but if people give me compliments I never believe them and I always feel inferior to other women.

I don't really think I'm ugly. But some days when I'm feeling bad about myself, I look in the mirror and seriously think I'm hideous.
So I guess it changes depending on my mood.

Me too. I do hate my teeth though, so that makes me feel ugly if there is a picture with my teeth showing or I'm laughing. Or if I'm having a bad day. Then I feel ugly.
