Moderate Social Phobia; Panic Disorder; & Depression. I'm currently on NO meds. I hate pills, actually.

Combining lots of pills can actually worsen your condition and yes, doctors make such mistakes all the time. If you've been prescribed more than 2 or 3 pills, then better consult one more specialist.

As for my disorders, together with SA and mild agoraphobia, it is possible that I also have Asperger's. I discussed it with my psy two days ago, I don't fit all the criteria, but he said it's possible to have mild AS, considering the fact I am in my twenties now and most of the symptoms are gone. Happily, it appears I don't have any prominent personality disorders, which is good, considering I am enough of an eccentric without them.

I've had/have: SAD/depression/general anxiety disorder/OCD/panic disorder.

I'm like a jack of all trades, master of none when it comes to mental disorders. :D

wow glad to see I'm not the only one with more than one disorder haha..

I take cymbalta for depression and another one that works with cymbalta to help it work better. The other one is for anxiety. So I really don't have too much to worry about. Besides since the antidepressants really kicked in last week I've felt like I'm on top of the world! I haven't even been depressed for like 3 days! So it IS helping and my conditions aren't worsening.

newbie you should go...what's stopping you from going? Honestly, I would really recommend it, I only had very mild SA and panic attacks at first too, that's how it starts for most people! I wish so much that I had told someone when I was like that and had gotten proper help, so I think that you should if your psychiatrist thinks it would help. What have you got to lose? Why wouldn't you go? It's totally up to you of course, but I would recommend it! Good luck with whatever you decide anyways! :)

ha ha thanks mate

well the only real thing stopping me is money, not that i don't have it i keep spending it on stuff

if i don't improve like for example at the party this friday then i will reconsider

I seem to spend 90% of my life daydreaming lol, so you're not the only one with that issue.

SP, depression and APD(possibly results of SP)

also several other bad tempers which possibly aren't disorders:

all-or-nothing thinking: i ignore my jobs coz i think i do them better another time.
discounting the positives
jumping to conclusions
personalization and blaming myself a lot
playing the victim role
excessive subjective engagement about sex
fear of intimacy.
daydreamer
unable to focus on works
feeling guilty
extremely conceited(doing lots to show off)
fatigue and weakness
infirm of purposes
being hasty
lack of movement
pessimistic

I'd listed them 3 years ago to solve them.:D:D
