  • Hey Ian! Nice to hear from you :)

I've been doing alright, been trying to keep busy this summer, i've been getting out a bit more than usual. How about yourself? What's new in your world?

I'm def coming to England this year! I'll be there in late October. Where in England are you? I'm pretty excited and also nervous because it's my first time traveling such a distance all by myself.

Thanks! I just bought my tele a few weeks ago, but i've been playing acoustic guitar basically since I was 5, my grandmother (RIP) used to play guitar really well and she taught me everything I know. I like to play a variety, right now i'm teaching myself some Led Zeppelin, and trying to write some of my own songs, although they always end up sounding silly to me. Oh well, I still love playing.

Thanks for the message. I hope everything is well with you. Take care Ian!

    #2....

With the voluntary work, i've done it with barnardos since last year. Before that I did it at a special school as well though it wasn't anywhere near as good. We basically meet up at the place and take the kids out on trips each week (or a couple of times a week in the summer). This week I went to camelot with them. It's really good, plus the volunteers are mostly my age so you can get talking (anxiety permitting). They mostly do it for their CVs for uni but it's really good anyway. The responsibility with it is good too (though I thought I lost one of them at camelot... long story). So I definitely recommend voluntary work! Working with kids is actually a lot of fun, some of them are older (up to 18 I think) and they're funny with their mannerisms and in general. It's a good laugh!

    Hope you're well! Richard
I'm glad your anxiety is getting better in ways. Mine had improved a lot... I make phone calls now without really thinking, and I do what I need to do pretty much by myself. Just making that step into the world of work and different friendships that is the next step I guess. I feel ok when I do things by myself.
I was at uni in 06/7, straight after finishing college. I dropped out after a year because I hated it. In all honesty I should have left straight away but I didn't have the guts, lol. I guess you live and learn, no one really told me the ins and outs of things. What i'm going to study I still don't know. I could pick up science again and get a general degree, or do one the vocations I was looking at. But it's hard to know, I don't have much to go on. My dad keeps telling me a vocation is better.. and I know the market is tough, but man I don't know.
Hello Ian. You work in engineering? I bet that is a great job with lots of benefits! Good for you :)
I ended up taking my kids to the park last night because there was a band playing. My son really loves music and he isn't shy at all, he just danced the whole time, nobody else was dancing, hehe. He is cute and so full of life.
I have been all over North America, although America is beautiful, I enjoy Canada a lot more - less populated, colder. You should come here! I really want to go to Scotland, England, Ireland, Belgium, Germany, Scandanavia, ect. but I also want to visit Japan, Australia, New Zealand. I want to go everywhere! Hopefully someday I wont have to feel so confined and I can get out and live a little. :)
    Take care!
Hey Ian, nice to hear from you!

I haven't spoken to those two guys since paintball tbh. The only way I could anyways is to make/add them on facebook (still haven't done that!). I may do, but I would like to make new friends who are a bit different. I might get that opportunity at university, or volunteering if I ever speak up more.

How are you doing with the anxiety? You were going to start an evening course I remember you saying? Best of luck with that!
I'm going to England in a year, i've just always wanted to visit and I got my passport so i'm saving money, i'm excited. Do you travel often? Where do you work? I don't work, I am a full time Mommy. I want to go back to school some day, maybe for art or photography and get a job doing something I love, but that will be after my kids are older and then I will feel too old. :( How old are you?
That's too bad you burnt your head, aw, you must wear sunblock these days!
I'm up to nothing exciting today, although I may just go for a drive somewhere and see what I can see, I regularly drive random places because I don't like following a schedule and it's fun being spontaneous!
You seem so nice :) I hope you have a good day!

    Hey :) I'm glad you're good.
I am ok, feeling a little under the weather today. This weekend we went to the lake, but we couldn't go swimming because there was a sign warning or high levels of bacteria in the lake and that it was a threat to our health to swim, gross. I hate summer! What did you do over the weekend? Where do you live?
    I hope you're having a good day!
Ah that's great, good luck with things! Yes I need a part time job. Really I need more than the ema for uni, but HH and anxiety are the problem. It doesn't help i've never worked, so i'm full of fear. I'm sure I don't have to bore you with the details lol.
Eh not bad, had some testing social encounters lately. I've been preoccupied with my hand sweating since the weather got warmer. How have you been? Are you back into work yet? It was a while ago now but the ESA claim was pretty straight forward. As with most things I don't know why I didn't do it earlier.
