I was very skeptical at first, alot of the time i am when it comes to food aided benefits but i just drank my second ever cup of organic green tea and it changed my mood withthin five minutes, you know how if you drink alcohol and after the third or fourth glass you become tipsy and lose your sense of self conscious. well i drank the green tea and felt my depressive mood change and right now i feel very calm and my thoughts are alot more controlled and i dont feel guilt or worry, i dont know how long this will last but i'm really liking it.

yeh i'll definitely keep you updated, all i can say is that it made me feel very relaxed and i no longer feel paranoia, moody or guilty/worried about things. its been about half an hour so far..

they use green tea in parts of asia souly to treat depression itself..

obviously i'll need a few days to see if its really working ..

give it a go, you just leave the teabag in for about 2-5 minutes with no milk or sugar and the flavour is nice...

even if i try and make myself feel guilt or worry i can't, this is 100% serious..

now i don't know whether its because my mind is more prone to the tea,
no idea.

give it a go yourselves..

its been about 45 minutes

its bitter and sweet at the same time, its not a strong flavour, very easy to drink though...

yeh i normally only drink chai or earl grey with milk but really its still easy to drink the green tea, just wait a few minutes for it to cool off so it doesn't burn your mouth off!! its more the effects of the tea that you are after rly.

I don't drink organic green tea, where you have to boil a pot of water or what ever. I got hooked on Arizona brand green tea, and I can say with pride that I'm an Addict.

That's funny. I'm enjoying a cup at the moment. I've had the tea sitting in my cupboard for a while now. I have a cough/cold so it helps. I wasn't aware that it changes your mood, though.

Ew. A cold. However, I find green tea outstanding. I should buy that again next time I go shopping.

I think I'm going to refuse to see the doctor's assistant the next time the doctor might not be in.

Mhh, well, it's not his fault, is it? I used such meds, too, and didn't experience those side-effects. Much to my misfortune, heh, now that I think about it. ::p:

Green tea does work in the short term. I used to drink it a lot all the time, & it definitely helped a lot with my depression, though not with the anxiety.

I am drinking green tea every day for about 10 years now... I dont think it changes my mood in any way.

Splynx maybe you drink it for too long and you don't notice that :) Or maybe it really doesn't help.
I thought I was alone drinking 3/4 cups of tea in a day. I was wrong...
Green and black tea has theanine and some more expensive Japanese tea has lots more theanine. Theanine is good for people like us. Maybe thats the reason why I'm still alive :)
