  • No it's a part time catering course. Hopefully by the end of this year, I will be able to gain some form of employment in the catering industry. And I'm sure the skills I'm learning at college will come in very handy if I get a job at McDonald's.
Remind me never to drink from a pond then :)

So Biev, have you always had SA? I think mine started in HS, and it never really went away. I started a college course a few weeks ago, and I'm still finding it difficult to keep on attending my classes.
If you go to any nearby pond and grab a bucket of water, you'll probably get loads ; )
Oh it's a Moina, that would have been my, well not my second guess exactly, more like my millionth guess :) It always amazes me just how much life and diversity there is in the ocean. I would love to try deep sea diving one day, but the only problem is I get sea sickness quite easily. I only have to make a few waves in the bath and I turn green.

So anyway, thank you for telling me about the Moina , it's always good to learn something new :)
It's actually a Moina. They are tiny crustaceans. They're very fun to watch, they sort of jump around in the water. We studied them in biology and I just fell in love with them. They're transparent, so you can see their internal organs. (Not sure how they got this one to glow blue in the picture, though.)

Daphnia magna are even cuter, they have little beaks. You'll have an easier time finding good pictures of Daphnia, they are often used in scientific studies.

Huh. Actually if you do a Google image search for Daphnia magna, it shows a drawing I made. Here you go : http://art.biev.net/wp-content/files/2013/05/DaphniaLabeled.jpg

    : )
Hi Biev, thanx for the add. I was trying to figure out what your avatar actually is. I'm guessing it might be a fluorescent blue grasshopper wearing a hat. Whatever it is, it sure looks snazzy to me :)
