All i can think of is going to the movies or going for a run, or going to the shops..i mean i dont live close to the city so everything feels really limiting. maybe its just me...i hate being stuck in the house with family...after a while it drives me a little round the bend...any advice or tips?

Sometimes I like going to parks and just walking, or the library or bookstore. Or I'll try a new restaurant (it's not awkward so long as you bring a good book to read).

I consider myself lucky in that I live at the end of the house, so I seldom get interrupted by family. Apart from that, I like to immerse myself in any form of media that I can find, be it games (most of the time), anime, movies, or books. If I didnt have SA, or if I wanted to face it, I'd go to the gym, as I love weight training, but lately Ive just not been able to summon the positivity to try :/

Read a book, write a book, paint a picture. <-- Doesn't have to be done at home.
There's probably heaps of local events you can go to, as well as classes/courses, clubs, sports teams... if you're into that kinda thing.

One of I attractions is going to bookstores or antiquity shops. I like buying new books and war time medals. Since I am still at University I met some friends, it will much lonesome when I finish the university.

download new music. get lost in it, dont think about anything else. go for walks at night. take pictures. draw stuff. cuddle with your cat. sit inside a circle of burning candles and beg for mercy. eat/drink

I play loads of video games. It's the perfect time-consumer I suggest you get into the go"gaming lifestyle". Photography is fun too..you can start an online blog and post your captures...

bike riding, you could go for long walks with your dog or not if you haven't got any. If you don't want to go outside to exercise you could go rope skipping indoors. That always makes me feel better.....too bad it's only temporary::(:

Maybe learning to play a instrument.

reading.....

Basically exercise, I do weight training at home, bike ride outside, kung fu training. I would take up running if my knee wasn't stuffed. Set a goal so training has a purpose like participating in a community fun run or bike ride.

Other non-physical stuff I do is watch movies, TV episodes and play games. I have limited my time doing these thing because really it's a waste of time and doesn't achieve a lot in terms of physical or mental health.

i would love to do that, I have always wanted to go camping... i even have a tent but I'm too scared of being robbed, killed, or something worse happen while I'm sleeping
::eek::

It's usually safe on campsites, not sure about your neck of the woods, I'm sure most crime is commited in cities like that

I'd suggest reading, writing poems or stories, listening to music, exercising, gardening(my psychiatrist told me to try it), maybe cooking also. Or learning a new skill in youtube. or exercising.
