Can't think of this 1950s cartoon...

Ok so this is really random, but its been driving me crazy! It was only a couple Merrie Melodies (i think) shorts that showed all different kinds of 1950s type gadgets, there weren't really any characters, just narration....anybody know what I am talking about?

I remember them! they were these random 5 minute warner B skits that weren't Bugs or Daffy but were definitely in the same genre. There would be random people or animals or even tables and chairs that would be trying to perform the simplest tasks and the whole thing would always go haywire. Ah, that was fun. And Disney had a competitive Brand-name cartoon series called Silly Symphonies, that weren't Micky or Donald but were the same type. And they would always play them as a filler when a movie finished too early. Am I ringing any bells? because I'm starting to feel old.
