Choosing friends

I love my friends, but there are so many interests I can't get them in on because of differences in personality. I know exactly how to reach out to people who share my other interests, but my SA is currently making that extremely hard.

Do any of you have it the same way?

Yeah, only one of my friends has ever shared a lot my interests, but she's kind of drifted out of my life now. My other friends have always been much harder to connect with because we are so different. Of course, now it doesn't matter because they've drifted away as well.
I would love to find a friend who I could connect with in interests and other things. But considering I haven't made a single new friendship since I left high school two years ago, I know I have a long way to go.
