However, if I were to somehow lose my girlfriend which I don't intend to happen, but in a worst case scenerio, if I were to become single and alone, I would probably go for this kind of lifestyle without worry of my health or how long I lasted.

Yeah, I definitely see where you're coming from. I've had thoughts about living by myself (or whoever would want to live with me ) in the middle of a forest with no electricity or anything like that. Definitely couldn't do it.
