I'm always not sure how to react. I usually flip into "there's something wrong with the way I look and that's why she stares" modus. This is because I'm severly unconfident about my looks.
In my mind if I continue eye contact, she will probably roll her eyes or give a nasty look or something.
This is why I'd rather avoid the eye contact for any longer then a flip second.
There's a rational voice in me saying, what's the harm in making eye contact, and so what if she would give you a stink eye, but in the heat of the moment those anxiety toxins in my stomach always take over.
