I have been looking into getting an iontophoresis machine but only if it is covered my my medical insurance. I talked to my provider today (Blue Cross Blue Shield) and they said they they would only cover it as physical therapy. In other words, they would not cover the cost of the device for me to take home, they would only cover appointments if I was to go into an office on a regular basis and have the procedure done. This seems impractical based on how often you are suppose to use the device.
My question is for those of you who have used it, did your medical insurance cover the cost of the device for you to take home?
