I'm looking for advice. My wife was diagnosed with OCD some time ago. She was getting help where we lived in the US but since we returned to Canada it has been nearly impossible to find anyone in the Chatham, ON area. We are frustrated because she needs immediate help and support and I need some support. Does anyone know of anyone who deals with adult OCD or any support groups? We have tried facilities in London and cannot get a response and the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance is less than helpful.

Any advice is welcomed.

Here is an OCD forum just like SPW, Home

I assume chatham is in northern Ontario. Is there something there that keeps you where you live? If not why not move to southern Ontario where there is plenty of therapists and help available, not to mention more jobs.

THank you for the input.

Chatham is in southern Ontario half way between London and Windsor. Actually resources are extremely limited to non existent for what we need. Lots of folks deal with kid OCD but very few deal with adult OCD. We ahve tried the hospitals and mental health associations and continue to wait for some to 'call back'

:/ They're really busy and bogged down. I am waiting, myself, to get an appointment to see a specialist at a hospital.

Ah, sorry didnt know where Chatham was. I know theres gotta be tons of doctors in the GTA and golden horseshoe. I personally live in Hamilton and go to St.Joesph's hospital and anxiety clinic. Its free and its really good.
