School and Careers - No Escape

Hi everyone, I'm a new member here.
I'm 22 years old and I'm a senior in college (uni).
I suffer from Social Anxiety, and I take Paxil (Seroxat).
The Paxil helps a bit. But unfortunately it makes me
sweat a lot, especially face and forehead. People will
stare at me, wondering why I'm so sweaty.

My social anxiety started in high school. I thought I
would never graduate. Things sucked so bad.
But the Paxil helped me and yes I got my high school
diploma. It also helped me survive college. I'll graduate
in May. (the sweating is horrible tho)

Getting through school has been a big struggle but I have gotten
through it. I would like to go to law school, but law students and lawyers
have to give speeches and make oral arguments in front of other people.
I also heard that law school is very competitive and very stressful.

So I'm thinking I should probably do something else with my life.
I dunno what to do tho. I studied History in college. The social anxiety
and the sweating are limiting my options.

Any ideas? advice?
It's hard to succeed in a career with SA. I think of all the things I could be doing with my life... I'm a smart person. But this S.A. closes a lot of doors for me

If you buy some Anhydrol Forte, a roll on deodorant aimed at people with excessive perspiration, it will solve the problem completely.

It comes in a roll on form. Apply it before bed. Lean back and roll it generously onto the forehead (around the hairline too) and just rub it in gently with one finger to smooth out the excess. Do not let it get into the eyes (hence why you lean back and apply it).

It doesn't always work immediately. Apply it every night for about seven days. By that point the sweating to the face will be completely blocked. From that point on, just apply it every other night or every third night, depending on how your sweating is, to keep it 'topped up'.

After you apply it, it dries into a crystalline powder, it can sting a bit, but you wash it off in the morning. It is undetectable. It really works. It will give you more confidence and will eradicate the visible signs of facial sweating.

How do you guys make a living while having social anxiety?
What jobs and careers are you involved in?
I'm sure none of you are teachers, since that would mean
giving lectures and presentations to a class, everyday.

I still say go for law school. I say it because you said you like it.

There is a very good chance that you will get over your stage fright if you do it daily. It sounds easy, but it's hard. I hardly do speeches, so I get really nervous, but I've done them. I know that I should do more, and I will.

I've heard so many teachers say they had bad stage fright in college, but that over time, it went away.

I dunno Walk... I heard that law school is very stressful and intense.
Can I deal with that? What about giving oral arguments and presentations...
I just don't know.
I don't wanna get into something that will increase my anxiety and fear

do you spend alot of your spare time reading about law while living and breathing it like a hobby? just curious , i think you should do it as it will force you to speak up more often in front of crowds, every day.

Try practicing speeches in front of family or friends if you can. Or at the worst (and we are the "worst" :) ) just record yourself and see how you can improve yourself.

I'm doing that.

I will try that. I have been trying to get thru this
with books and exposure therapy and relaxation.
But I don't know how successful I will be.
