Hey guys, how is everyone? I'd like to talk about the pointlessness of a judgment or label. It seems like in this society, we tend to label everything as one way or another. We label ourselves, we label others, we label everything that passes our sight. I think that is one of the reasons this social anxiety can be so strong. We struggle long and hard trying to find ourselves amongst this sea of labels and judgments. If you play heavy metal, you are a "rocker", if you like sports you are a "jock". You see where I'm going with this? All a label does is confine a human being to existing within the labels parameters. We are much more complex than that, there are so many different facets to someones personality, no one is better or worse than anyone else, and that's the truth. We don't see things as they are, instead we make these assumptions, judgments and labels. We say things are "stupid", "gay", "lame", and so on, instead of seeing them for what they are. It only makes things worse for us. We need to stop creating these labels, and images to identify ourselves with and realize that everyone is completely different and things are not that simple. All this is is a filter of our beliefs. So a first step to change, I think, is to learn how to use awareness and suspend judgment of ourselves and others. I hope this has helped.
