Honkhonk. I don't listen to much metal, but Ozzy and Sabbath are great. So I'm coming through with some lesser-known Ozzy...

I thought it was awesome that he covered it, and that it was a good job moving the song between two styles. I always picked up on a dark undercurrent in the original, maybe it's the words. When Ozzy does it he blows that darkness wide open. It actually makes a lot of sense that he would cover it, he would have heard this growing up in the UK in the 60s.

Thanks for posting that. I learned something new. I'm not that familiar with them. I looked it up. Yeah from Virginia and was an influence in doom metal.

yeah I had never heard of them either until a few years ago I was watching an old Phil Anselmo interview and he mentioned them so I looked them up..apparently they were recording and doing gigs around the same time as sabbath and zeppelin but they didnt have a very good manager so alot of their studio recordings were really shoddy and they ended up not getting as much hype/exposure as other more popular bands like Sabbath.

I don't remember them being mentioned in books I've read or documentaries I've seen. I probably just forgot.

idk i guess they kind of just fell into obscurity..its a shame really. They're a good band but I dont think many people even knew about them when they were in their prime.
