I know most people probably think that Vicodin is an evil, addictive drug that only leads to detriment in life. And if it is abused, you are corect. In fact, Vicodin is such powerful drug that it can cause hearing problems, liver failure and a host of other issues if taken in larger doses.
With that being said, I have to tell you that the only time I have felt 100% relief from my social anxiety is when I pop a Vicodin. Within 30 minutes I can go up to anyone and feel very connected and warm towards that person. And it's not because I am "high" per se, because I don't particularly feel any euphoria, just a very easy going, unfearful personality. I am able to function like a normal human being, and I can even talk to girls.
I have NEVER felt so socially able and confident as I am on vicodin. It is a miracle. For someone like me who has severe social phobia, this drug has given me some of the most memorable social events in my life. I was able to play around with people, talk like I knew them for years, etc.
I know opiate drugs are not the solution, but when I am in social trauma mode, this drug has the ability to make me feel like I am "one of them."
When I compare this to other drugs I have taken such as xanax, klonopin, gabapentin, etc, there is simply no match. These drugs simply make me tired or lethargic - nothing that helps SAD at all!
So my final word is this: vicodin is an addicting, dangerous drug if you are trying to find a high and taking a large dose. Never take more than 2 or 3 in a day (even that is pushing it for your healh). But if you need a social miracle fast, then a vicodin (hydrocodone) pill will take you there in a hurry.
