If you have, or have ever had, a serious relationship, where/how did you meet your partner?

She was at my friend's house and eventually it was just me, her and two other guys in the room and my penis told me to ask her if she went to a school that I knew she went to. Finding things in common helps a lot if you are trying to get with someone. Honestly, I was trying to get laid. We never had sex, though. She wanted to wait. It turns out she just wanted to break up with me eventually.

Hey there Amy, Good topic :)

I´ve met my girlfriend on the web. We started chatting, we found eachother on a community website for people who are gay/bisexual. She approached me, she send me a long E-mail, I replied back to it. We started chatting alot, and we met in real life very quick. Because she wanted to see if we got the vibe in real life too. She went to Canada (Vancouver) for her intership in computer science for a half year. I was not doing very well that moment, I was in clinic to get help for my Social Anxiety. She sent so many letters to me, showing care and showing that she wants me to overcome sa, and she´s so understanding, she always listen to me, and speaks to me when I need her cheer up talk. She supports me in my music too, she helps me with anything. she even checks SPW now and them, just to see how I´m doing ! And she has been reading about sa and bdd.
I never knew someone who has been so supportive to me

When she came back, I saw her again in 2010, I realized, how much of a great friend she always been to me, and I started to fall for her and feel more than just friends. Everything started back then, and now we have a lovely serious relationship, I´m so happy I got ridd of the weirdows in the past, I used to fall for girls who sweet talked me , and they never showed real respect to me, they just have been fooling me, but she has patience, and she really listens to me, and of course, I give it all back in return.
So we have an amazing relationship, and I never wanna lose it.

I met her at a local store. She caught my eye. After much deliberation I decided to step up and go for it. *Epic music and slow motion movements* I start walking in her direction, went across the whole store and tapped her on the shoulder. Our eyes met and I thought “yes…this is it…such beauty in design, such texture, it’s her”. So I picked her up, went for the cashier and paid. Best pillow I’ve ever bought.

Be careful of just going after beauty and texture. I hope she is the supportive type too? You don't want someone who just lies in bed all day doing nothing.

Don't worry, I have managed to resis the oh-so-painful pain-in-the-neck pun. As tempted as I am...

We met in grade 6. haaaah!

I was sure that I was asexual forever-- since I was not interested in anyone or even remotely attracted to a person before, but he was the only person I ever felt something for, and it was right away.

We started dating in highschool and were together for almost 8 years; he wanted to get married, so I said yes but he broke up with me 1 month before we were supposed to go and get rings fitted.

I do not imagine being able to find a single other person on the planet that I am attracted to... so, I don't plan to ever date again and I really don't care.
yay!

lol-- this always turns out looking like a pity seeking post XD
sorry, everyone!
Anyways... we met at school! yes!

I met all my gfs in high school. Haven't dated since. My friend's wife tried to set me up twice but I failed.

Currently interested in a girl I've been talking to online.

Thanks for the question!

I'd like to list the number of partners.

I see this list as equivalent to jobs - not related at all, but important to list by count. There are more cases of a girlfriend, and jobs:
There are more than ONE partner, and more that ONE job, forever. There is only ONE life per person. Not 9 lives per cat. I hope there will be more than one cat in my life.

As for listing, I see that with the perfect, normal person, there should only ever be one partner, ever, not involving splitting and divorce. Some people have more than on home, more than one car? Any number of children?
A status symbol should involve ONE or MANY of such things to be successful and happy: married to ONE wife and ONE employer, ever. More than one of these means: unsuccessful loser

I will leave out all details. Just numbers. An indication of me, that I splurt out too much details about me. I need to keep things very simple & basic, and not go on, although I adore detail and eg. whitepapers & research.

Partners: 9 so far. All female. Students or earning money. 4 years younger or same age. All met at pub/club/restaurant. Only ever at the height of summer, on home ground or international. Maximum of 4.5 years together right after graduation. Nothing at school stage - hardly any girls at school - only the ones who were heavily minted, tiara-wearing, with parents who were ambassadors, parliament, actors or sportstars

Jobs held: 26 professional. 3 as a student

All were brief, resulting in my rejection. I never reject any of the above. I never leave. They dispose of me, so I'm ready for that. However any encounter starts with pleasure, I know that each will soon end
