Text to speech program. Type it into one and get it to read it to you. Hopefully somewhere along the way it will sink in. Either by typing it out or hearing it said aloud

Awesome suggestion. I just downloaded Natural Reader free which apparently converts text including PDF's & word.doc to MP3 files.

I wonder how it will cope with scientific terminology.

For the past ten years, I have been driving to Oakland every year, in the days before the day of the dead. I buy marigolds as well as supplies to make sugarskulls and to buy things needed for my altar. I have built a great friendship with the owners of this cultural shop. As I prepare to go this year, I receive a letter in the mail that one of the owners has passed. I am deeply saddened by this news. In memory of her late husband, his wife is inviting close friends to come on Sunday and take all that is needed for their coming celebration.. Since that is what he would have wanted. It will be closed to everyone except those whom received invitation.

Since receiving her letter... I feel such heaviness. I will be making the drive to go out there, but I have anxiety about what to tell her. How to show how much I lament his passing.

This has been keeping me awake for the past few nights. My stomach hurts at the thought of having o face her in such a difficult time.

Am I an a.sshole for considering to stay home? Gah. I am an as.sshole.

Ok, I'm going.

I wonder if he ever thinks about me anymore. When he's with her, does he wish it was me instead? Does he worry about how I'm doing or wonder if I've met someone new? Last night I dreamt about fighting with him again, going through the process of should we break up? Should we stay together? In my dream, he actually gave me explanations, closure that I wish I would've gotten. It felt five hours long and was pure torture. Even though no one knows, it's still really embarrassing that I think about him still. I'm sure he hasn't given me a second thought since the breakup. When will I be over this douch**ag?!

hiked down to the river yesterday. it was completed flooded out by the storms generated by hurricane Joaquin...the trails were flooded and there was even rapids at certain points. I had to take a few off-trail detours up a hill through the woods to get to a higher trail...I wish I had brought a better camera.

I hate running on treadmills because I can't set my own pace. If I want to run faster I have to figure out how fast that is in kilometers. I can't have a sort of dynamic pace either, I have to run at a constant speed. The guy at my gym wrote in my plan to run for 10 minutes, 1 at top speed and 1 at 75% speed. I don't know what my top speed is and I don't want to find that out on a treadmill. I'll try asking him to give me some other warm up exercise.

I really dislike having my sister over. She complains about everything I do or don't do, but if she does the same then somehow it doesn't apply to her. She doesn't realise how entitled she acts.

Any piece of advice is met with aggressiveness. People always take her side too, because apparently trying to explain to her how to park the car in the garage properly when she has trouble doing it is a **** move and I should just shut up because "I don't drive". I don't drive, but I have parked that car in that garage dozens of times (because she can't do it), but apparently that's not useful at all for parking that car in that garage.

She only behaves like this towards me. It's really f-ing annoying because she's all nice and very considerate to everyone else, but she's always slandering me and everyone seems to take her side, and most of the times she's wrong and just being an entitled b*tch.

I never get angry but when she comes home she's always making my blood boil.
I feel your pain.
Ugh

There is a limit on how many times you can "thank" posts in a single thread!?
Nooooooo, I did not know that!

If I knew that I would have spread them out more. Not fair!

In some cultures people stand closer to each other when speaking and in some people want more personal space. I come from a culture that prefers the latter, so when someone from the former speaks with me and his or her face is literally two inches from my own, I automatically step back a little, but they just move in :/

Every time the time to change passwords to financial accounts like my bank and creditcard rolls around it severely pisses me off how insecure the password HAVE to be.

Warning: Your new password has to contain between 8 and 20 characters and requires at least one number. It can't contain special characters, it can't contain your first or last name, it can't contain part of your e-mailadress or cellphone number or the word PASSWORD.

Pardon me? This is not an imageboard password. Perhaps in 2015 it's about time we lay waste to the legacy systems that demand these limited passwords.

I come from a culture where people stand closer to each other but I myself want more personal space. It really bothers me when they get really close.
Anyway, I read this thing you can try doing: keep doing that step back, and see how far you can take them around the room/wherever you are.

it's so disrespectful to touch someone and you know they don't want to be touched. She knows I don't want her touching me but she does it anyway. I'm sure it's intentional as if she can make me okay with it or feel better or something when infact it just irritates me.

Got my first oral presentation of the year coming up this Wednesday. Not sure why the world insists on adding oral presentations to school curriculum all the damn time.

Former workplace of mine I hated, which was really unprofessional with terrible customer service, and which I hoped went out of business - CLOSED that location >: ) haHA. That's what you get, asshats.

Also,

Anyway, I read this thing you can try doing: keep doing that step back, and see how far you can take them around the room/wherever you are.

^ I know how mad that can make you because my sister is just like that too.
It is sad that some family members think it is not so bad to bully you just because you are related.
Are you able to not have any contact with your sister at all? I have stopped having any contact with mine because she is so toxic. My self-esteem has improved greatly since ending contact with her.
