You want to know how I got these scars?
'Thanks' button.. not sure if it's a good thing or bad thing. Reminds me of likes and dislikes on Farcebook.

I'm watching 'If you are the one'.

Weird culture are the Chinese lol.

I have a Chinese background and that show makes me cringe with how saccharine it is. I guess mainland Chinese people are attracted to different things. Very oddly specific things.

Some have truly loved...
Admired who we are...
Adored our naked truths...
Treasured our inner beauty.
Elusive souls, indeed...
Rare and hard to find.
They've graced the very core...
Imploring us to shine; exposed the best we've known.

Their eyes assuring...
Their touch, pure and healing...
They reach into our heart...
Cherish every subtle beat...
Banished insecurity...
Our beauty they expose
Teachers of potential...
Their love infinite; magical repose.

These wondrous ones...
Who find their way to us,
Connect with all our strengths...
Increasing life's beauty.
Power unlike all norms...
Reminding us to BE ALL...
Blessings pure and true...
Moments spent; ecstatic revelations.

No connection a mistake.
Each passing glance...
Holds promise.
Those who teach us strength...
Beyond their mass destruction;
Or...Those who guard our value...
Reminding us, we are love.

When I was younger I thought it would feel awkward to see soccer/basketball players younger than me playing on professional teams but it doesn't.

I've seen that show on SBS two. Some really catchy ditties, like when the chosen ladies walk the catwalk. I have no idea what they are singing about, but I hum along anyway.

The only thing people ask me about "my" life is what my sister is doing (she has been living abroad for two years now). I don't really know because I don't talk to her very often and she's always doing a lot of stuff, so I only have a vague idea. One person even said I should know this, because "no one expects anything from [me]" so I should at least know what my successful sister is doing.
Of course, if these people are so interested in what she's doing they could talk to her themselves, they get along better with her than with me.

Why deal with people at all when even the ones who say they care find ways to make me feel so small and invisible. Like my feelings are just annoying things drifting past on the breeze that they can acknowledge or ignore like we're strangers if they're not amusing enough.

I don't understand why anyone pronounces the word "apricot" with an "ape" at the beginning. Apparently both pronunciations are correct but ape-ricot just sounds ridiculous to me.

Even the self-checkout voice at my grocery store says it: "Move your - APE-RICOTS - to the belt."

I pronounce it like this: ā-prə-ˌkät..thought most people did as well.
