You know what always scares the crap out of me? That scene in one of the LOTR movies where Bilbo goes to take the ring from Frodo and suddenly transforms into that evil demon thing for a split second.
I one time paused the movie just at that point so I could study the face, and it freaked me out so much that I couldn't look at it long, had to take it off pause.

Is the fan working to cool it down? If the fan isn't coming on, it probably will overheat.

I don't think it's working as well as it usually does. :/ It sounds like it shuts off sometimes.
That's not good, especially if it's a hot day and the ambient temperature is high. If this is your new computer, it should still be covered by its warranty though.
