I've received 3 out of 4 final class grades, and I am pretty pleased with myself because so far... let's just say it wasn't a 4.0 but it was PRETTY DAMN CLOSE. I mean... CLOSE. I mean, like... okay, it's a 3.9 :giggle: YAY! It is community college English-major related stuff, so it's not terribly difficult if you're good with humanities courses, but still. I am pleased.

I need some ideas to create a website. I'm learning html through codecademy, and I'm using their project platform to put what I learned to use. The thing is, I don't really know what the theme of my project should be. I don't want to put some of my interests there since my friends could possibly stumble upon my page and I don't want them finding out about those interests.

So, any ideas?

I also use codecademy from time to time, when I need inspiration to code. You can create anything with code, including games, bots, even holiday e-cards. Since you're a beginner, I suggest starting something simple like photo album or static website.

Edit: I got a bit carried away. So you want to create a website but not share it with the public because you fear your friends would see it. I suggest creating and saving the html, css, and other website files to your computer. You can practice developing locally. Use your browser to open the HTML files.

I've heard that pornography is very popular these days.

Although I have gotten a lot of better in a lot of ways over the past 2 years, there is one thing that never improved. My handling of online accounts.

I have multiple yahoo accounts (although apparently the old ones are being "recycled"; seems more like they've just been made completely inaccessible to me and the names may never be freed up for future accounts), multiple Google accounts (entangled in a mess with the yahoo accounts), lost/forgot the passwords for all but on Google (and can't recover that Google account) and one Yahoo account, and lost/forgot the password for the site to access my bank account online.

Basically my online stuff is a mess. I always read stuff online that makes this seem like very bad thing too and just depresses me. Like when applying to jobs, you could be turned down if the email account you use with the application/your resume is also associated with other accounts that the employer may not like. So it's best to have a more professional email (both in name and in what it's associated with) for applying to jobs and for bank accounts, etc. I haven't really done that though.

Anyone else have this problem or in a similar situation?

Is it just me, or are a lot of "open-minded" and "tolerant" people just pressing a different status quo and going to pieces when faced with something they dislike?

Yeah, huh... I think it might go against the website's rules.

Thanks, I was thinking of doing something on Codecademy because everything's in one place... But I don't know if the projects are public or not.

How do I save those files? Just write them on notepad and save them as whatever.html and whatever.css ?

I use Brackets... it's easier to use and it's also free.

Thanks, I'll try it out.
I tried with notepad and it worked fine I guess, but I'd have to save the document and then open it on a browser to see how it's going.

Upon searching for a place in Shellharbour to visit, I came across a place called Warrumbungle National Park. It's in country New South Wales and some of the images look fantastic. I'll put this on my "to visit" list.

Realistically, it's not too expensive. The biggest thing is the 6 hour drive to the nearest town. Staying there will not break the budget, and the walking trails and lookouts here should be free. All I need is the petrol getting there and back. I think I'm going to do it soon. It looks really beautiful.

For the first time ever, I took a panorama photo with my iPhone of a place called Bass Point in Shellharbour. It was a beautiful day and I couldn't pass up the opportunity for a nice photo.

It's beautiful. Makes me want to take a nap in the sunshine.

I don't think it's just you. I was listening on the radio the other day about some demonstrations on college campus's being vandalized. The display's were all pro-life, which around here is certainly become the "close-minded and/or religious view." I would think an open minded person would want both sides of an issue to be heard rather than ignore one side because it's not open to other possibilities. Maybe these people don't consider themselves open-minded and just liberal (which I would say they're right about) but I don't know.

How hard is javascript compared to HTML?
I'm still not done with HTML/CSS but after this one I was thinking about learning javascript and do some apps for my phone (not a smartphone). If I were able to create some apps I need that I believe to be somewhat simple to make, then I wouldn't have to get a new phone.

Went out for lunch with friends, now dinner with other people.
My head is already starting to hurt, I can't handle more than 3 hours of social events a day.

What's worse is that my sister is going to the dinner too. I actually like spending time with her when it's just the two of us, but when that's not the case I feel very annoyed by her.

Just got a year's worth of high-quality flea meds for five cats for $90. *happy dance* I had expected to spend upwards of $600 on flea meds for the year.
