After seeing so many threads about guys being miserable, not finding love, I can't keep quiet anymore. Read on if you want to get that girl of your dreams.

The truth is that most guys end up unsatisfied with their relationships (or lack thereof). Just look at the 50% divorce rate in America.

The problem is social conditioning. We're told to chase the American dream. They say "Bust your ass, get a good job and a nice car, and a family and kids will fall into your lap!" Hollywood likes to talk about soulmates and love at first sight. They tell us to be romantic and chivalrous - "Chocolates, roses, dinner and a movie!" That's just not how it works.

To find someone that's really compatible, it takes lots and lots of relationship experience: trial and error. This means approaching lots of different women, which is basically asking someone with social anxiety to go through hell. Yeah, lots of emotional pain is involved with the process, but if you get good at it, lots of sex is involved with the process too. It's basically a trade: emotional pain for sex, and possibly love.

There are actually "bootcamps" designed to unwire social conditioning, to teach people the things that our fathers should've taught us: how to pick up women. I guess, what one can do is read these books and take what's good from it, and leave the rest of the misogynist and sexist stuff out.

These books can really be degrading of women.

but I did once long time ago join the sosuave.com forum, and have read a whole bunch of the so-called "PUA" material posted on there. One of them was the mystery method. Speed Seduction.

Lot of gimmicks.

These books are separating the camp between the "AFCs" (average frustrated chumps) and the "PUAs".

Not to say that one cannot become a good PUA, its just that, usually commercial crap is corrupted. They don't represent the REAL TRUE PUAs.

And the majority of the "leaders" of this movement do not represent a good PUA, because of their misogynist and degrading views of women, as well as men.

You keep editing your posts, so I'm gonna reply again. It seems like you had a bad experience with some other website, and now you're making assumptions about something you've never read. So I'll say it again, this stuff is legit. Why the **** would I make this thread if it wasn't? Do you think I'm deliberately trying to confuse people and make their lives worse? Reading dating advice is cool and all, just don't become a stay-at-home dating advice junkie. The dating industry wants you to become one, and they always have new products to give you (redundantly).

As was read on the Game by Strauss, lots of these pick up artists are in it for the money. And in my opinion, so is Strauss, who I've found out is an asshole, including his current girlfriend(see youtube "noseraping").

Bottom line, you don't need that much advice to be able to get girls. For me, it's mostly the anxiety I get from going out that keeps me bogged down in my house, as opposed to a lack of attraction techniques (though many are useful).

perhaps the main thing you might want to learn is to be funny, and to know how to verbally defend yourself. as well as be independent. be in a good stance in your life. know how to talk, to anyone. ie social skills. and don't be a prick/asshole. have a winner's attitude or try to be positive as much as you can. become knowledgable... and it's ok to use lines, just the good ones. even the greatest converastionalists and comedians use them. and a gimmick usually works (as sabbath has told me lol).

and be yourself.

if you don't know much of the above then read, or take classes on it. nothing wrong with it. and take care of your anxiety.

that's pretty much all the stuff you need to know, and you DONT have to be an asshole.
